Cross-referencing
31 January 2025In the spirit of blogocracy, I plan also to signpost to other blogs where issues of relevance to Wales are discussed. Here is a non-inclusive list:
The Housing Studies Association annual lecture was about how academics and policymakers can work together. Friend of the blog, Jennie Bibbings was one of the speakers, alongside the indomitable Beth Watts-Cobbe and Joe Frey. You can read about it and listen to the debate here.
Nearly Legal has posted a couple of blogs about important cases of relevance also to Wales:
- Fresh applications for homelessness (an area which, in my experience, local authorities get caught in and handle badly): R(Ivory) v Welwyn Hatfield BC
- The legally complicated issue of proper service of documents (eg gas safety etc) which catches so many people out: D’Aubigny v Khan & Anor
Jules Birch’s fabulous Welsh Housing Quarterly online mag came out this week, and can be found here (ahem, it contains an abbreviated version of the Coastal case discussion on this blog – thanks, Jules 🙂 – and the PSOW discussing their report on damp and mould which has also been covered here, perhaps with less fanfare)
