An Introduction to Medicine for 6th Formers
13 March 2015A very successful course introducing medicine and health sciences to 6th formers has been held at the Bill Mapleson Centre. A crack team used short lectures, simulation and clinical skill teaching to engage with an enthusiastic bunch of teenagers: potentially tomorrow’s doctors, nurses and healthcare leaders. With permission, here are photos of the day, you can tell it was informative, enjoyable and memorable. We will run this sort of course again.
And the crack team? James Farrant, Anthony Funnell, Blanche Lumb, John Francis, Tomos Jones, Matthew Carwardine, Jeff Clark, Cristina Diaz-Navarro, Brian Jenkins and Nick Stallard. The feedback from the students was excellent.
Thank you.
Marvellous photographs by Andrew Gordon of Flexicare.
