About Me
I’m Vicki Stevenson and I’m a Senior Lecturer at Welsh School of Architecture in Cardiff University. I specialise on sustainability in the built environment. I love my work because it relates to every day life and it helps me (and others) reduce our environmental impact!
The benefits of plants are my inspiration for this blog – they clean the air, feed us, improve our mood, support other species … the list goes on. Over the last 10 years, I’ve had great fun growing plants for food, biodiversity and beauty! I’ve tried different growing strategies and even dabbled in hydroponics. I’ll be sharing my own experiences (and information I’ve found useful) on how we can incorporate plants in our own spaces and use them to reduce our environmental impact. I’ll also include other sustainability gems of information that I think might be of interest.
You can find out more about me on my Cardiff University webpage and on my LinkedIn webpage.
