Goodbye from me!

1 August 2014

CUGrad20142

The time has come for me to say goodbye to you. Before we knew it, graduation has come and gone, and the realisation that we are actually graduates has finally started to sink in.

This year’s been a whopper, with a fantastic group of honorary fellows, a week of lovely weather, and of course, hundreds of happy students receiving their degrees.

A big thank you goes out to all the people who put together graduation week and made it one to remember. From Dylan the Dragon to those behind the scenes, we graduands salute you!

Don’t forget that there’s a number of teams still available for you post-graduation, from careers to enterprise to alumni. They are all eagerly awaiting helping you achieve the best you can.

It’s also worth staying in contact with those particular lecturers who have helped you along your university journey. From LinkedIn to email, keeping in touch is easy!

Visit the university’s Facebook page to see the photos that myself and other members of the graduation team took.

That’s all from me. Remember that your time in Cardiff was just one of life’s stepping stones – make of it what you want. Don’t be afraid to be ambitious – if I’ve learnt anything from speaking to the extraordinary Honorary Fellows, it’s that you need to make yourself stand out. Equally, be open to a change of career if you decide that things aren’t working out – nothing has to be forever, and happiness should be a priority.

Thanks for reading,
Allie
