Dining offers 2014
10 July 2014It’s the question on everyone’s lips – where to eat during your graduation!?
There’s a number of scrummy options out there, from light bites to afternoon tea to a three course dinner, but we’re hoping that our investigation into Cardiff’s top offers will make your choice easier.
I personally will be going to Le Bistrot Pierre, which you can read about here, but there’s a number of other great deals on too:
English literature grad Cat is going to Cosy Club, who are offering graduates a glass of fizz with meals.
The Park House restaurant have a delightful two (£28) or three (£35) course menu, which can be found here.
Soon-to-be graduate Phil is celebrating at The Clink at HMP Cardiff. This interesting choice offers over 30 category D prisoners from HMP Prescoed and HMP Cardiff full-time work in the restaurant and kitchen.
If you want to celebrate down at Cardiff Bay, then the Bayside Brasserie have a two course menu from £12.50.
Henry’s Cafe Bar are offering a free glass of bubbly with their great value Prix Fixe menu (£11.95 for two courses or £15.95 for three courses).
Politics student James is celebrating at Cote Brasserie while Welsh Officer Cerith is dining at Carluccio’s.
If you’re planning on eating at La Tasca, be sure to book a table online quoting #gradcava for a complimentary bottle of Cava!
Class of 2013 graduate Reem enjoyed his graduation meal at The Potted Pig, and Cathy is looking forward to celebrating at Giovanni’s.
If you’re looking for two different lunch and dinner options, why not try afternoon tea. The Hilton Hotel are offering graduates a champagne afternoon tea for £22, and the Laguna Kitchen and Bar for £16.50 or £22.95 with champagne. The menus both include a selection of finger sandwiches and an array of cakes. Afternoon typically runs from 12-5pm, but The Laguna Kitchen and Bar at the Park Plaza Hotel offer to do later afternoon tea when booked in advance.
