\n<\/strong>I\u2019m interested in gaining psychology-related experience, especially since the available funding is quite generous.<\/p>\n

What were your top 3 highlights from your time abroad?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. The feeling of satisfaction and reward after each session is incredible.<\/li>\n
  2. I\u2019ve gained valuable soft skills such as communication, teamwork, creativity, flexibility, and adaptability.<\/li>\n
  3. Weekend travels are so much fun!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    What was your biggest challenge? How did you overcome it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    It was sometimes challenging to find personal time amidst the busy schedule of planning and visiting partner sites. With everything carefully organised, I found it difficult to pause and stay fully present in the moment. However, I made a conscious effort to create space for myself during the evenings and weekends, which helped me recharge and maintain a healthy balance.<\/p>\n

    How has your placement been beneficial to your studies at Cardiff University or your future career?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The placement allowed me to explore different perspectives on psychology-related careers. I received valuable advice and gained new insights by listening to the diverse stories and experiences shared by my teammates and staff members. These interactions broadened my understanding of the various career paths within psychology and helped me reflect on the kind of professional direction I\u2019d like to pursue in the future.<\/p>\n

    What is the one thing you wish you\u2019d known before you left?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    I wish I had planned some of my weekend trips in advance, as it was quite tiring to organise two-night trips within just a few days. I also wish I had researched the places I wanted to visit beforehand, which would have allowed me to make better use of my time and enjoy the experiences more fully.<\/p>\n

    What would you say to a student that was unsure about spending a period abroad?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Don\u2019t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. It might feel tiring at first, but it\u2019s completely worth trying.<\/p>\n

    What are 3 things to do in your host destination?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. Make the most of your time there.<\/li>\n
    2. Visit Nusa Dua Beach.<\/li>\n
    3. Enjoy the natural surroundings and the local food<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Make sure to use Grab. It’s really affordable.<\/li>\n
      2. Plan your flights and visa in advance.<\/li>\n
      3. Don\u2019t forget to bring sunscreen!\n
