Tell us about your global opportunity\u2014where did you go, and what did you do?
\n<\/strong>I went to Camp America over summer, spending over 2 months at a sports camp in Maine. I spent my time there helping to supervise kids, and primarily worked as a swim teacher and lifeguard.<\/p>\n

What surprised you the most about your host country\/programme\/time abroad?
\n<\/strong>I was surprised at how different it felt to the UK. I hadn’t anticipated that there would be a big difference between the two countries, and living at Camp is another kind of lifestyle to both countries entirely.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n


\nWhat is the one thing you miss about your time abroad?<\/strong>
\nI miss how much time I spent outside, with great people from other countries who all had similar interests.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s something you\u2019re passionate about outside of your studies?
\n<\/strong>I play water polo at University, I love the club and the people that do it, especially my friend Boris.<\/p>\n

What\u2019s your favourite place on campus\/in Cardiff?<\/strong>
\nYOLO<\/p>\n

If you could live anywhere in the world for a year (a dream destination), where would it be\u2014and why?<\/strong>
\nI’d love to live in Australia for a year, the lifestyle there looks really good – waking up earlier, going outdoors and being in a beautiful place<\/p>\n

What\u2019s a fun fact most people don\u2019t know about you?<\/strong>
\nI learnt Malaysian for 6 months<\/p>\n

Describe your global experience in three words:<\/strong>
\nLots of fun<\/p>\n

What advice would you give to students considering a global opportunity?<\/strong>
