What was your experience of the Global Opportunities team?<\/span><\/h4>\n

They gave me important tips, recommendations which were very helpful, especially for someone like me, who had never been to the UK. After arriving in the UK and in Cardiff, they organised many events throughout the semester, involving tours to get to know the city and the campus, gathering of the exchange students, where I could meet many people around the world and make new friends, and cultural games and celebrations, where I enjoyed with friends, while having fun playing games and learning about the Welsh and British cultures.<\/span><\/p>\n

University Accommodation<\/span><\/h4>\n

One important part of students\u2019 life is the Accommodation. During my stay in Cardiff, I have lived in the University owned Accommodation Called \u201cCartwright Court\u201d. My experience living there was <\/span>overall positive, with great structure and services quality, a big room, bathroom, and communal area. <\/span>The localisation was good, next to commercial areas and not far from the University buildings,<\/span> especially the Queen\u2019s Buildings, where I had to go to lectures almost every day. Besides that, the Residence Life Team, another student service at Cardiff University, is very helpful to help settle in and to help integrate into the environment. Before getting to know my classmates and my fellow exchange students, the residence life team was my first contact with students at Cardiff University, and they definitely helped me a lot to feel easy and comfortable in this new environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Can you tell us about the learning and teaching environment at Cardiff University?<\/span><\/h4>\n

I really enjoyed Cardiff University\u2019s teaching approach, which allows students to focus more on self-studying <\/span>and on group work, instead of heavy lectures-based module structures. In other words, it is more independent, and it offers freedom and flexibility to students to<\/span> approach the semester.<\/span><\/p>\n
