I\u2019ve only got 2 and a half weeks of school left before finals start- where has the time gone?!<\/span><\/p>\n

In Canada, you get a day off for Remembrance Weekend, so we bussed to Seattle for the weekend- we stayed in City Hostel- which was in an amazing location. We went to Pike Place Market- which had THE MOST AMAZING collection of stalls, from vinyl\u2019s, to old books to a magic shop, to an old printing place which sold old copies of publications- I bought a National Geographic from 1928! There was loads of food to try, and the best warm cider I\u2019ve ever had, or if you didn\u2019t fancy that you could go to the first ever Starbucks or to a Russian pastry place-which sold the best sweet and savoury piroshkies. We went up the Columbia Tower- which is higher than the needle and a fraction of the price to see the sun set and the night lights of the city. I had the best weekend and it was so interesting visiting just after the election \u2013 border control was intense, such a different experience to anything I\u2019d seen before. Particularly, as I\u2019d just finished writing an essay on the importance of international borders in the modern world, and used the Canada-US border as a case study it was intriguing to see all the things I\u2019d been reading and writing about in the real world.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m on the home stretch of my assignments now \u2013 just 3 more essays and 3 exams and I\u2019m done- we\u2019ve booked Christmas at Banff and then we\u2019re planning to watch the fireworks from Vancouver Harbour for New Year\u2019s Eve. The thought of my time here coming to an end makes me so sad- I\u2019m trying to get the most out of the little time I have left! I\u2019m planning on seeing the rest of the sites on campus this weekend- I went to the Nitobe Gardens which were amazing with the autumnal colours but I still need to squeeze in the Museum of Anthropology, the Botanical Gardens and the Art Gallery on Campus!<\/span><\/p>\n
