Your experience abroad

Tell us about your global opportunity—where did you go, and what did you do?
I went and did a study year aboard in Hong Kong at the Hong Kong University. I got to pick a massive range of modules so i had the opportunity to study stuff i would never get to in Cardiff, I got to travel around Asia with a great group of friends, as well as ending it with an internship.

What surprised you the most about your host country/programme/time abroad?
The difference in uni culture over in Hong Kong/Asia.

What is the one thing you miss about your time abroad?
Just being in the city itself, i love exploring Hong Kong with friends and then also having the ease of travel and good weather around Asia.

A bit about you!

What’s something you’re passionate about outside of your studies?
Being outside exploring, so I love walking/hiking, I love writing as well as designing.

What’s your favourite place on campus/in Cardiff?
Bute Park

If you could live anywhere in the world for a year (a dream destination), where would it be—and why?
New York, after working in Hong Kong and London, I want to next experience New York. The culture, work ethic and vibe that it seems to portray is something i would love the chance to get to experience that.

What’s a fun fact most people don’t know about you?
I made a board game when i was 11… Shaperise…
