What are your highlights from your time in Cardiff?

I absolutely love the Give It A Go trips. I went on one almost every weekend since arriving and have enjoyed every second of them. They are so affordable and have introduced me to places I have never heard of before.

Can you tell us about student life on campus, including the Student’s Union? Have you got involved in any clubs or societies?

I joined the Taylor Swift Society and it has been a lot of fun! I really enjoy all of the events they host. I occasionally browse other events that the union hosts and there is so much and there really is something for everyone.

What is the one thing you wish you’d known before you left?

I wish I had known that I had to pay for laundry. That was the worst shock since my home university has free laundry services.

What would you say to students who are unsure about coming to study at Cardiff University?

I would tell them that it is a really great growing experience. I think that for me choosing Cardiff was the best choice because the city size is manageable, the Student Union is super active with events, and the Global Opportunities team hosts a good amount of events for students to meet other international students.

What can you tell us about being in Wales and the Welsh culture?

Being in Wales is very eye opening. It was a place that I had never really heard much about before coming but now that I am here, I know it is so beautiful. I love coastal cities like Tenby! They just provide such beautiful views and rich history. I am also taking the Welsh Culture and Folklore class here and I have learned so much about Welsh Culture from it. It is so fun!
