What motivated you to study abroad at Cardiff University?

I chose to study abroad in Cardiff due to its strong focus on sustainable development and innovative environmental practices. Cardiff University offers unique courses and research opportunities that align perfectly with my goals in Environmental Engineering. This experience will allow me to gain a broader
perspective, learn from leading experts in the field, and apply this knowledge to address environmental challenges globally.

How was the process of applying for this programme?

Applying for the study abroad program in Cardiff was straightforward but required careful planning. My advice is to start early, gather all required documents, and stay organized. What are your highlights from your time in Cardiff?

Highlights from my time in Cardiff include exploring the historic Cardiff Castle, experiencing vibrant local festivals, and engaging with diverse student groups at Cardiff University. These experiences enriched my understanding of Welsh culture and history, making my time here unforgettable.

What was your biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge was managing the initial culture shock, especially the different social norms and communication styles. I overcame it by staying open-minded, actively engaging with locals, and participating in community events, which helped me adapt and appreciate the new cultural landscape.

What would you say to students who are unsure about coming to study at Cardiff University?
