About me

Hello everyone, and welcome to the FINDER blog!!!

My name is Giulio Nannetti. I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at Cardiff University in the lab of Prof. Andrea Brancale working on the development of innovative and selective inhibitors of dengue virus.

I was born and grew up in Siena, a small Italian town in the middle of Tuscany. I received a Master’s degree in Medical Biotechnologies at the University of Siena (Italy) in 2010. Then I moved to Padua, Italy, to obtain my PhD in Biomedicine in 2014 from the University of Padua, where I carried on working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow since April 2018. In May 2018, I was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship to start the FINDER project at Cardiff University as a postdoctoral fellow.

My research interests have always been focused on virology and antiviral drug discovery. You can find out more about me or my previous research studies here.
