Erasmus Reception, October 2018

A group of people at the Cardiff EDC

On Thursday 18 October we welcomed more than sixty students who are visiting Cardiff University and other universities in the area through the Erasmus programme, as well as students who are planning to go on such an exchange (or just thinking about trying the experience in future).

Through this annual event we aim to raise the profile of the Cardiff EDC, and to encourage students to make use of our services and study facilities, attend our events, and perhaps apply for one of our part-time internships.

EDC Manager Frederico Rocha greeted our guests, explaining how we can help students in their studies and research through our European information expertise, and showing how the Centre is a pleasant place for them to work with friendly, welcoming and well-informed staff.

David Hughes, Head of the European Commission Representation in Wales, attended the reception and also spoke to the students about the benefits of the Erasmus exchange scheme.

Our guests spent the rest of the evening socialising, while enjoying a delicious buffet and drinks. Some of the photographs taken at the event have been posted on our Facebook page.

We would like to thank the Commission Representation for their support of this event.
