The End is Nigh

5 February 2018

As some of you may be aware, I have a forthcoming book due out soon. The End of British Party Politics? analyses the fragmentation of electoral and party politics between the constituent nations of the UK. Neil Kinnock has already been kind enough to say about the book that “In the swirl of current UK politics, this book provides important insights for everyone who cares about the vigour of democracy and the unity of our country. Through perceptive and readable analysis, Professor Awan-Scully shows how politics is fragmenting between the constituent parts of the UK, and raises the challenge of how to recreate meaningful and appealing British party politics with the vitality necessary to prevent introversion and break-up.”

The book is due to be published by Biteback Publishing on 12th April, and the publishers are now accepting pre-orders (both for the paperback and for the ebook) at the following link:

As well as buying a copy for yourself, why not get it as the perfect present for that special someone in your life?

I am sure this is accidental Roger, but your post seems to imply that the break-up of the UK would be a bad thing. Obviously that’s from Neil Kinnock’s words, but perhaps that’s not the ideal quote for this forum!

Yes the break up of the UK is a bad thing Angharad…although I take your point that Roger, as an exponent of independence for Wales, is not someone who you would expect to use Neil Kinnock’s words as a quote to publicise his book.
