Apropos of nothing in particular24 May 2019
This week’s Welsh Political Barometer poll asked the following question:
“Which of the following do you think would make the best Conservative leader and Prime Minister if Theresa May were to stand down?”
These are the results, presented in two columns: for our entire sample, and for those who say they would vote Conservative in a general election:
|Name||% Whole Sample||% Conservative Voters|
|None of these||25||9|
There will be lots more to say on this in the coming weeks; but if the voters are any guide – though we should recall that party leadership elections often produce unexpected outcomes – then there is a good chance that Boris Johnson will be our next Prime Minister.
