On the morning of Tuesday 24th May the Wales Governance Centre held a seminar reviewing the 2016 National Assembly for Wales election.
The seminar was a game of two halves. In the first half I gave a presentation, which examined the election results in some detail and then sought to provide some initial evidence helping to explain those results by drawing on the 2016 Welsh Election Study. In the second half I was joined by Catrin Haf Jones (of ITV-Cymru Wales) who chaired – with her usual aplomb – a Q&A session.
(Technical note: the majority of the questions asked to me were in Welsh; I therefore attempted to answer them in Welsh. Unfortunately, we don’t yet have a sub-titled version of the Q&A up, so those of you who are not yet able to speak the language of heaven may find some this a little difficult to follow.)
