In this series of “Introductions…”, we’ll be introducing you to members of the Centre and sharing more about their work.
Professor Julia Thomas specialises in the relation between word and image in printed and digital media. She is Director of the Database of Mid-Victorian Illustration and The Illustration Archive, the world’s largest searchable archive of historical book illustrations. She has published widely in these fields, including Nineteenth-Century Illustration and the Digital (Palgrave, 2017).
