Sara is a graduate of the MSc Conservation Practice programme. Always a fan of historical material culture, she studied archaeology at Simon Fraser University in Canada and has worked in archaeological pits, conservation labs, and art galleries. -o-<\/p>\n Sara Brown<\/strong><\/p>\n Sara Brown decided to pursue a career in Conservation after seven years in the legal sector. She has a particular passion for organic conservation and can, at any opportunity be found promoting the work of Conservators to the wider community.<\/p>\n -o-<\/p>\n Sarah Dunn<\/strong><\/p>\n Sarah is a MSc Conservation Practice graduate, having decided after a number of years working in a different sector to follow her passion for cultural heritage and return to university as a mature student.<\/span><\/p>\n -o-<\/p>\n Rafail Evzonas<\/strong><\/p>\n Rafail is a MSc Conservation Practice graduate, with a BA in History and Archaeology from the University of Cyprus. He took part in a wide range of archaeological excavations and he is interested in conservation of archaeological artefacts.<\/span><\/p>\n -o-<\/p>\n Mandy Garratt<\/strong><\/p>\n Mandy is a MSc Conservation Practice graduate, with a passion for ceramics, paper and natural history conservation. Having decided on a career change from working in the financial services industry as a Web Developer, Mandy previously completed a Master\u2019s degree in Preventive Conservation before deciding to focus on Conservation of objects by studying here at Cardiff.<\/span><\/p>\n -o-<\/p>\n Sarah James<\/strong><\/p>\n Sarah James completed a BA in Art History with a Museum Studies Concentration and minors in Archaeology and Classical Studies in 2013 prior to beginning her switch into the world of objects conservation through a variety of internships within museums, independent conservation labs, and archaeological field work in the USA and Europe. As an MSc Conservation Practice Student, she was able to immerse herself fully in this exciting and intriguingly multi-disciplinary field. She is eager to see what is in store now that she has completed her MSc.<\/span><\/p>\n -o-<\/p>\n Jack Newcombe<\/strong><\/p>\n Jack Newcombe has completed his BSc in conservation at Cardiff. He began studying Archaeological Science at the University of Liverpool before transferring to Cardiff to study conservation, after realising that he much preferred looking after the objects once they were dug up, not digging them up himself! He particularly enjoys working on objects with an ethical standing and by assessing the object\u2019s significance, he likes to see how this impacts his conservation treatments.<\/p>\n -o-<\/p>\n Anna O’Neill<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n After finishing a degree in Art History in the United States, Anna decided she wanted to take a more hands-on approach. During her time completing the MSc Conservation Practice programme, she developed a fondness for ethnographic objects and ethical conservation.<\/p>\n -o-<\/p>\n Nerys Rudder<\/strong><\/p>\n After gaining an MA in Industrial Design and with ten years\u2019 experience as a curator and collections manager in Barbados, Nerys decided to pursue an MSc in Conservation Practice. She is perpetually surprised that she can now be classed a scientist.<\/p>\n -o-<\/p>\n
