The Cardiff Award Team

Leah Doherty, Cardiff Award Manager

Hi, my name is Leah and I’m the Cardiff Award Manager. It’s my role to lead and manage the Cardiff Award Team and to work with you, our sponsors and colleagues within the Careers Service to continually develop the Cardiff Award programme. I have previously worked in Universities and in Charities supporting students and other young people across Wales with opportunities to gain employability skills and experience to ready them for their careers. I’m really looking forward to taking the Cardiff Award forward and to working with and supporting you all through the Award.

Amy Campbell, Cardiff Award Officer

Hello, my name is Amy and I’m the Cardiff Award Officer. I am responsible for delivering the Cardiff Award programme alongside Leah. I also lead on our communication and marketing activities and manage our student staff team. Prior to this role, I have worked in a Students’ Union, delivering a variety of projects and opportunities to support students. I studied at Cardiff University myself, having graduated in 2012 with a degree in Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies. I’m very excited to be working with you all!

Jon Farley, Cardiff Award Administrative Assistant

Hi, my name is Jon and I’m the Cardiff Award Administrative Assistant. My duties include responding to student enquiries; providing advice and guidance, updating information such as student details and workshop attendance to our databases and systems, and sending out our regular newsletter to keep students up to date with the latest programme news and advertising opportunities for them to build up their extra-curricular activity hours for the Award. I have previously worked in a similar role at another university and have spent the last few years supporting students whilst working in Registry. I am keen help students with any issues they may encounter as they look to develop their graduate attributes and complete the programme .
