We are excited to announce our students shortlisted for Cardiff Award Student of the Year 2018. This award recognises a student who truly excelled over the year.
330 students have completed and passed the Cardiff Award programme this year- our highest number to date. Out of the 330, we have shortlisted 8 students for Cardiff Award Student of the Year.
The quality of portfolios from students this year was exceptional so competition was very tough for the shortlist. But there were 8 students who really stood out. Each of these students went the extra mile in demonstrating their employability skills through providing exceptionally high quality portfolios. They really showed the journey they had been on and the skills, confidence and professionalism they had developed, which is what the Cardiff Award is all about.
Between the 8 shortlisted students, they altogether completed an impressive 3736 hours of extra-curricular activities during their time on the Award. This averages at 436 hours per shortlisted student. Considering the minimum requirement of the Award is to do 70 hours of extra-curricular activities per student, you can see that they have gone above and beyond this.
