{"id":49,"date":"2018-09-18T16:13:18","date_gmt":"2018-09-18T16:13:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/business-school\/?p=49"},"modified":"2023-03-08T14:19:36","modified_gmt":"2023-03-08T13:19:36","slug":"unravelling-the-dynamics-within-global-supply-chains","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/business-school\/unravelling-the-dynamics-within-global-supply-chains\/","title":{"rendered":"Unravelling the dynamics within global supply chains"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>In 2008, I attended a lecture in London, organised by <a href=\"http:\/\/labourbehindthelabel.org\/\">Labour behind the Label<\/a>, where the speaker, Suhasini Singh, explained work being done for the rights of garment workers by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cividep.org\/\">Cividep India<\/a>, a non-governmental organisation based in Bangalore, India.<\/h3>\n<p>As a result of that meeting, I visited India to research Cividep\u2019s work first-hand and so began a research relationship that has blossomed over some ten years.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, Cardiff Business School was delighted to be able to invite Gopinath Parakuni, Cividep\u2019s CEO, along with Ms Yashodha P.
