{"id":31,"date":"2014-03-27T11:36:10","date_gmt":"2014-03-27T11:36:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/brennanpincardiff\/?p=31"},"modified":"2022-04-13T15:08:21","modified_gmt":"2022-04-13T15:08:21","slug":"growth-in-athena-swan-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/brennanpincardiff\/growth-in-athena-swan-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Growth in Athena SWAN awards&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I help to promote Athena SWAN in the <a href=\"http:\/\/medicine.cf.ac.uk\/athena-swan\/\">School of Medicine<\/a>, in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/humrs\/Athena_swan\/athenaswan.html\">Cardiff University<\/a> and nationally by participating in Athena SWAN <a href=\"http:\/\/www.athenaswan.org.uk\/content\/assessment-panels\">Assessment Panels<\/a>. Athena SWAN is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.athenaswan.org.uk\/content\/history-and-principles\">charter<\/a> that recognises commitment to advancing women&#8217;s careers in STEMM academia. STEMM stands for science, technology engineering, medicine and mathematics. \u00a0There has been an increase in the number of Athena SWAN awards. I have generated the chart below <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheet\/pub?key=0AvKJA0Rqh9O5dGE3aGdxbC1Rb3R0X1ExSWhsUG1taUE&amp;single=true&amp;gid=8&amp;output=html\">graph to demonstrate this using Google Documents<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The data has been taken from the Athena SWAN Award Booklets which are available on the Athena SWAN website.
