Welcome back- we hope you had a refreshing break and are ready to dive back into your studies and Cardiff life.

Are you feeling like a bit of a reorganisation for your fresh start? We have some apps we wanted to remind you about we think it would be helpful for you to have ready to use when you need them.

You’ll notice that reading list items are now provided from a link in Learning Central. This should make locating books and journal articles super quick and easy for you. Remember if an item is out on loan- place a request. You can export the reading list from Leganto into EndNote or other citation managers – just use the export button in the usual way.

BNF APP– Available from your app store. Simply register to be able to download. Information & links available here:

BMJ Best practice Add the app to your mobile device for convenience and additional features. To download the app you first need to create an account on the BMJ Best Practice website. You will need to use this login to download the app.

BMJ Best Practice is a point of care tool which aims to assist health professionals in making decisions about treatment and diagnosis. It uses an evidence based, patient focused approach. BMJ Best Practice links out to PubMed records so you can access the full text where Cardiff University has access and information about drugs and dosages are linked via the BNF.

You may need to reactivate your access to Uptodate. In-application and email messaging will inform you of the need to verify affiliation with Cardiff University. You can complete verification by logging on to UpToDate once every 90 days with your Cardiff University username via http://abc.cardiff.ac.uk/login?url=http://www.uptodate.com/contents/search?unid=^u&srcsys=EZPX339439
