Research Staff Workshops on Open Access Publishing & Self-Archiving

Recent changes in academic publishing (Government commissioned Finch Report) are causing a dramatic and rapid shift to Open Access publishing.
INSRV is organising a series of workshops for Research staff to provide details on funds available for Open Access publishing at Cardiff.
The workshops will cover:
– The recent changes to Open Access publishing requirements by the various funding councils following the Finch Report
- – Subject specific information on journals’ copyright policies
- – Citation data
- – Increasing impact
The workshops will also include time to look at specific journals and outputs, and relevant Subject Librarians will be on hand to provide advice.
Workshops have been arranged for each REF Panel separately.
