Details of upgrades below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/research-equipment\/equipment\/view\/upright,-fully-automated,-multimodal-research-microscope\">Olympus BX61 fully motorised system<\/a>:<\/strong> Upgraded with new PC (Win 10) and 4K widescreen monitor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hamamatsu.com\/jp\/en\/product\/type\/C11440-36U\/index.html\">Hamamatsu Spark CMOS camera<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.olympus-lifescience.com\/en\/software\/cellsens\/#!cms[tab]=%2Fsoftware%2Fcellsens%2Foverview\">CellSens Dimensions software<\/a> and new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coolled.com\/products\/pe-300white\/\">CoolLED pE300 white<\/a> LED illumination source. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/research-equipment\/equipment\/view\/upright-multimodal-research-microscope\">Olympus BX40 system<\/a>:<\/strong> Upgraded with new PC (Win 10) and widescreen HD monitor, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hamamatsu.com\/jp\/en\/product\/type\/C11440-36U\/index.html\">Hamamatsu Spark CMOS camera<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.olympus-lifescience.com\/en\/software\/cellsens\/#!cms[tab]=%2Fsoftware%2Fcellsens%2Foverview\">CellSens Standard software<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/research-equipment\/equipment\/view\/slide-scanning-microscope\">Olympus BX41 Surveyor Slide scanner system<\/a>:<\/strong> Upgraded with new PC workstation (Win 7) and widescreen HD monitor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/research-equipment\/equipment\/view\/upright-research-microscope\">Olympus BX50 system<\/a>:<\/strong> Upgraded with new widescreen HD monitor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/research-equipment\/equipment\/view\/stereo-zoom-imaging-system\">Olympus SZX12 stereo zoom system<\/a>:<\/strong> Upgraded with new PC (Win 7) and widescreen HD monitor, Orca ER2 firewire camera and HCI image software.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/research-equipment\/equipment\/view\/macro-zoom-imaging-system\">Meiji macro system<\/a>:<\/strong> Upgraded with new PC (Win 10) and widescreen HD monitor.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">N.B. All of the above systems are now networked via 1GB desktop switches.  Up-to-date standard operating procedures and risk assessments for each system are available  through the Bioimaging hub&#8217;s online SOP repository via their desktop folders (&#8216;Read me before use&#8217;).
