I visited the University for an open day and really liked the campus, the city and the structure of the University.<\/p>\n<p>On\u00a0completing my degree in 2011, I worked as a consultant at Keyence and Rittal, helping companies automate their processes and their production lines.<\/p>\n<p>From there, I went on to set up my own business, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thebandyapp.com\/\">Bandyit Ltd<\/a>, an online platform developed\u00a0for exchanging clothes, electronics or anything else that you don\u2019t need any longer with friends or people nearby.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>At Cardiff University, I learnt to combine theory with practical skills.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In my second year,\u00a0I was part of a team that\u00a0designed and built a wing box for an aeroplane. The project encouraged us to use skills we had learnt in the classroom and apply them to solving real world problems. I was chosen to present our finished model to the judges. This experience helped me in my current position, as we present our ideas on the stage and in media interviews.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>We live in a world of exponential technological advancement. Being \u2018successful\u2019 has been re-defined over the last few decades.
