Rob Hughes wins Prize

Congratulations to Rob Hughes, who won the Glib Meleshko Memorial Prize for Best Research Lecture by a postgraduate student at the recent Cardiff Chemistry Conference. Rob impressed the audience by cutting straight to the chase ("Enzymes are awesome!") before explaining how a selective labeling technique can accelerate detection of different conformations in their catalytic cycles.

You can read all about the work he presented on rapid analysis of conformational behaviour during enzyme catalysis in this paper.
