Navigation and Styling Options"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Blackboard Ultra continues to evolve, and some recent updates bring stylish new possibilities for the presentation of Learning Materials in Learning Central. Here\u2019s a quick look at what\u2019s new and how you can make the most of these features:<\/p>\n<h2>Enhanced Documents with Block Styling<\/h2>\n<p>Documents now offer new <strong>Block Styling <\/strong>options for individual content blocks. These allow you to visually differentiate sections of your document, opening up a whole range of stylistic possibilities. You can add a splash of colour with a standardised icon and a border, to draw attention to different types of information.<\/p>\n<p>There are four styles to choose from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Question:<\/strong> blue<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tip:<\/strong> yellow<\/li>\n<li><strong>Key Points:<\/strong> Purple<\/li>\n<li><strong>Next Steps:<\/strong> Green<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"post-5879 media-5879\" class=\"image align-center\">\n<p><figure style=\"width: 903px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 738px;height: 423px\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/LTAcademy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/286\/2025\/10\/LC-blog-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"903\" height=\"518\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">To apply a style, simply edit a content block and click the paint palette icon in the editor.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"post-5880 media-5880\" class=\"image align-center\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/LTAcademy\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/286\/2025\/10\/LC-blog-2.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learning Central Documents <\/strong>are now printable and offer significant accessibility advantages over downloadable files. (Coming shortly to Instructor view.) This is a big improvement for student navigation, giving a clear overview of the content and allowing them jump directly to any section.
