Role:\u202f <\/strong>Senior Curriculum Development Advisor \u2013 joined Cardiff University in 1992.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is your role in the CESI team?<\/strong>\u202f
As well as being the head of the Curriculum Development Team, I lead the professional support on a number of projects, which currently include the Transforming Assessment and Learning Analytics projects.\u202f<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Describe a project you have been involved that you have enjoyed\u202f<\/strong>
I have always enjoyed working on assessment, a challenging area, but the one I believe that still has the biggest influence on the ways our students approach their learning.\u00a0 In addition to having worked on projects in this area across the University for more than 10 years, I also work as a consultant for Advance HE on the UK wide Degree Standards Project, developing and delivering professional development for existing and aspiring external examiners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A fact about yourself?\u202f<\/strong>
I am a keen cyclist and for my 50th birthday I cycled the length of Wales (from Caernarfon to Cardiff) in two days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rwyf bob amser wedi mwynhau gweithio ar asesu, sy’n faes heriol, ond yr un rwy’n credu sy’n dal i gael y dylanwad mwyaf ar y ffyrdd y mae ein myfyrwyr yn mynd ati i ddysgu. Yn ogystal \u00e2 fy mod wedi gweithio ar brosiectau yn y maes hwn ledled y Brifysgol am fwy na 10 mlynedd, rwyf hefyd yn gweithio fel ymgynghorydd ar gyfer Advance HE ar y Prosiect Safonau Gradd ledled y DU, gan ddatblygu a darparu datblygiad proffesiynol ar gyfer arholwyr allanol presennol ac uchelgeisiol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
