There are several bug fixes and advanced updates too, but these are the three most important ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Cardiff Theme<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can now select the Cardiff University XERTE theme from\nthe themes list directly within XERTE.&nbsp;\nThis theme has been in development and testing for 18 months and\nprovides additional functionality such as increased accessibility, cross device\ncompatibility, responsive design, and additional formatting options.&nbsp; The theme is called \u201cFlat: CESI\u201d in the XERTE\nthemes list.&nbsp; Read more about the theme: <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/learning-technology\/2017\/06\/22\/a-new-xerte-theme\/\">https:\/\/blogs.cardiff.ac.uk\/learning-technology\/2017\/06\/22\/a-new-xerte-theme\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Editor display<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When editing a project in previous versions of XERTE, the\neditor was mostly in black and white.&nbsp; In\nthis version, the editor will show you exactly what your project will look like\nwhilst you are editing so there is no need to preview it as often when making\nchanges.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Additional formatting\nand display<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are now many more styles available from the \u201cStyles\u201d\nand \u201cHeadings\u201d drop-down menus in the XERTE editor.&nbsp; These include panels, speech bubbles,\nhighlights, and code-display.&nbsp; You can\nuse these to highlight parts of your content in ways that you couldn\u2019t before.&nbsp; Whichever theme you are using, these will be\nautomatically colour-matched to the theme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How can I get started\nwith XERTE?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please contact <a href=\"mailto:CEILT@cardiff.ac.uk\">CEILT@cardiff.ac.uk<\/a> and we can\narrange a workshop or send you our online learning resources designed to help\nyou plan and create XERTE resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is next for\nXERTE?<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are currently working on integration for the Cardiff\nUniversity XERTE theme with a theme generator.&nbsp;\nThis will allow you to override the default Cardiff colour scheme with\nany colour scheme you like, whilst preserving the accessibility,\nresponsiveness, and additional functions that our theme adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This integration is currently in development.&nbsp;
