I started this role as a graduate 9 months ago. It involves working with the Student Engagement team on projects to enhance student experience, such as the analysis of Module Enhancement and Cardiff University Postgraduate Taught Survey (CUPTS).
My core role also includes the day-to-day management of the Student Champion scheme alongside my colleagues.
What projects/tasks are you currently working on within your role?
I’m currently working on developing the Student Champion Scheme for 2023/24. This includes:
- building a timeline
- evaluating the scheme so far
- enhancing resources for new Student Champions
Tell us about your career history
Before starting this role, I worked alongside my MSc studies as a Student Insight Team Member in the Quality Enhancement Directorate at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
During the role I worked in partnership with staff from schools and professional services. I gave a student perspective on new projects and engaged with the development of strategies for student experience, student voice and employability. I also assisted the team with organising and running the annual conference and the Student Led Teaching Awards.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy reading, walking my dogs, and spending time with my nephew.
