Coleg CymraegLT Academy Team

Team Tuesdays, Meet Elliw- Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Branch Officer

25 January 2021

Role: Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol Branch Officer – joined University about 10 years ago

What is your role in the CESI team?
As a Coleg Branch officer, I am the main contact point between the Coleg Cymraeg and the University on various projects and schemes to develop our Welsh medium academic provision, from applying for Grants, UG and Research Scholarships, to promotional work, Student Engagement, curriculum design and data collecting.  Being part of CESI allows us to make the Welsh language central to all its work.

Describe a project you have been involved that you have enjoyed
I worked with a CUSEIP student to develop an animated video raising awareness of the bilingual aspect of Cardiff University. This was very successful and has been widely circulated.

A fact about yourself?
A keen hiker, who’s walked the circumference of Wales, up Offa’s Dyke and down the coast.

Beth yw eich rôl yn nhîm CCAA?
Fel Swyddog Cangen Coleg, fi yw’r prif bwynt cyswllt rhwng Coleg Cymraeg a’r Brifysgol ar amryw o brosiectau a chynlluniau i ddatblygu ein darpariaeth academaidd Gymraeg, o wneud cais am Grantiau, Ysgoloriaethau Ymchwil ac UG, i waith hyrwyddo, Ymgysylltu â Myfyrwyr, dylunio cwricwlwm a chasglu data. Mae bod yn rhan o CCAA yn caniatáu inni wneud y Gymraeg yn ganolog i’w holl waith.

Gweithiais gyda myfyriwr CUSEIP i ddatblygu fideo animeiddiedig yn codi ymwybyddiaeth o agwedd ddwyieithog Prifysgol Caerdydd. Roedd o’n llwyddiannus iawn ac mae wedi’i rhannu’n eang.

Ffaith amdanoch chi’ch hun?
Dwi’n mwynhau cerdded – ac wedi cerdded rownd Cymru.  Fyny Clawdd Offa a lawr yr arfordir.

Darganfyddwch fwy am aelodau eraill tîm CCAA!
