Using Grademark for marking and feedback19 February 2015
After you have received and read a piece of your students’ work, you can use a tool in Turnitin called ‘GradeMark’ to feedback comments directly on the work, just as you might with a paper version. This narrated screencast by Allan Theophanides shows you how to use GradeMark for grading and commenting, as well as showing how you can save time doing annotated feedback by creating your own banks of comments in GradeMark’s ‘Quickmarks Manager’ (which you can then reuse across assignments and modules).
As mentioned in our video guide, you can also use an iPad to mark with GradeMark. For a guide on how to do this, please take a look at this excellent video created by Tim Smale at Keele University.
To gain access to all our ELTT Learning Technology materials, please enrol on to our Learning Central Staff induction / refresher module on Learning Central. This is intended to train or refresh staff in the basics of online learning in Learning Central and covers the essential elements. There are also new resources available on assessment, marking and feedback in this module.
