PhD Student (2016 – 2020)

Lyndsey is supervised by Professor Jon Anderson and Dr Julian Brigstocke. Her research, funded by the ESRC, explores environmentalism in surfing, with a focus on World Surfing Reserves.

Tirion Jenkins
PhD Student (2020 – 2024)

Tirion is interested in arctic surfing and its potential to build mental health resilience, through the immersive and mindful experience of (cold water) surfing. Her research will be focused on the case study of arctic surfers in Iceland and this blog will document her associated musings and travel during her PhD. Tirion is supervised by Professor Jon Anderson and Dr Julian Brigstocke. This research is funded by the ESRC.
