Part 3. Top 6 Festive Films to watch


In no particular order, these are some fantastic Christmas films that we believe all deserve 5 stars.


1. Elf

An unusually large elf is alienated from the elf community, so goes to the US to find out his true identity. A heart-warming and very funny festive story.


2. Home Alone


An 8-year-old boy’s family accidentally flies to France without him, leaving him alone at Christmas to inventively fend off some unexpected visitors.


3. The Snowman


This winter classic follows a young boy who befriends a snowman and is taken on an animated adventure. The silent story features the beautiful song Walking in the Air, performed by Welshman Aled Jones.


4. Love Actually


A British comedy classic featuring an all-star cast. It follows the lives of 8 people in their quest for love at Christmas and is both hilarious and touching.


5. Wallace and Gromit


This series of stop-motion animations feature an inventor, his dog, and their adventures gone wrong as they blunder through life together.


6. Miracle on 34th Street


This story follows Kris Kringle, the real Santa Claus, who is working as a department story Santa. He tries to make a little girl’s Christmas wish come true, but is faced with doubt and has to stand trial as no one believes he is Santa.
