The New Year is well under way now, and most of us have settled into a return to work; the holiday period may feel a distant memory as the business of University and normal life resumes. Welcome back!
The ending of a year is a natural pause, a time to reflect on what the past 12 months mean to you, what you achieved, what went well and what didn’t. It’s also when our thoughts can turn to where we are now and what we want from the year ahead. Whatever your hopes and goals are, we’d like to wish you the very best in everything you do.
Of course, Christmas and New Year can also be a stressful period, and if 2014 was difficult for you, you may have come into January feeling rather less than optimistic about the road ahead. With this in mind, please keep an eye on our blog; we’ll be looking to support you by writing about wellbeing and mental health, making our posts as relevant to you as we can. We’ll also keep you informed about wellbeing events that are taking place in the University and elsewhere.
And don’t forget that we provide a confidential counselling service, free to all members of staff. You can find out more on our new Intranet pages.
