College international initiatives fund, consisting of £150,000

We are pleased to announce that the College has developed an international initiatives fund, consisting of £150,000, intended to support Schools in raising their international profiles, and consequently the University’s position in the QS rankings.

Our focus is on research initiatives, although these may also involve elements of staff and PGR student mobility, ‘Cardiff-badged panels at prestigious international conferences, invitations to distinguished international visiting speakers, and the like.

Schools (including those disciplines that do not feature individually in the QS rankings) are hereby invited to bid for a share of these funds. There is no application form, but proposals should include a description of the suggested initiative, an outline of its likely international impact, a timescale, moderately detailed costings, and any other relevant information.

The deadline for applications is midday on Monday 11th January and should be submitted via email to Laura Davies (Daviesle5@cf.ac.uk). Decisions will be announced by the end of January, and any funds awarded must be spent by the University financial year end in July, 2016.
