Cinio Mawr Cymraeg // Big Welsh Lunch

Shwmae Sumae! Mae llawer o staff a myfyrwyr ar Gampws y Mynydd Bychan wedi datgan diddordeb mewn dysgu Cymraeg. Mae staff yn gallu mynychu gwersi drwy Ganolfan Cymraeg i Oedolion, a myfyrwyr drwy’r Ysgol Gymraeg ond ar hyn o bryd does dim darpariaeth yma ar y Campws.

Rydw i a staff y Coleg Cymraeg o’r Ysgol Gwyddorau Gofal Iechyd, Zoe a Gaynor, wedi rhoi ein pennau at ei gilydd ac mae sawl syniad gyda ni ynglŷn â sut i ateb y galw. Yn gyntaf fodd bynnag, hoffwn wahodd pawb i drafod y syniadau hyn yn y Cinio Mawr Gymraeg ar 20 Hydref 12:00-14:00 yn y Lolfa IV.Mae hyn yn ran o ddathliadau Shwmae Sumae – diwrnod i ddathlu y Gymraeg ymhob cwr o Gymru ac yn gyfle i gyfarfod eraill sydd yn siarad neu ddiddordeb mewn dysgu, ac i ni gael syniad am y niferoedd sydd â diddordeb.

Mae modd i chi hefyd datgan eich diddordeb arlein ac, os hoffech chi gael mesur o’ch sgiliau ar hyn o bryd, cymerwch olwg ar y teclyn yma gan y BBC.

Edrych ymlaen i weld chi yna!

Big Welsh Lunch 20 10 Cinio Mawr Cymraeg-page-001Lots of staff and students up here at the Heath have shown an interest in learning or improving their Welsh. Staff can currently learn through the Welsh for Adults Centre, and students through the School of Welsh, but there is no longer any provision here on the Heath Campus.

Myself and Coleg staff in Healthcare Sciences, Zoe and Gaynor, have put our heads together and we’ve come up with lots of ideas about how best to meet this demand. Our initial step however is to invite everyone to come along to our Big Welsh Lunch on October 20th 12:00-14:00 in the IV Lounge. This event is part of the Shwmae Sumae Day-  a day to celebrate the Welsh language in every part of Wales, whether you’re learning, fluent or just rusty. Bring your lunch with you and meet other Welsh speakers, learners or those keen to pick up a few words. This will be the first step in giving us an idea about the level of interest in learning Welsh on campus, and chat about the best format of lessons, best timing and other practicalities!

You can also register your interest online, and there is a nifty BBC tool to give you an idea of your current level of Welsh language skills.

Look forward to seeing you there!
