Never miss a (due) date again! Renew from home or on the move

7 February 2013

It’s easy to renew your items with LibrarySearch, from home or with our mobile app.

Check your due dates and renew online
From the LibrarySearch home page (access via the Library tab in the Cardiff Portal) select Sign In CU Staff/Students at the top of the screen and enter your username and password*. Click on My Library Account. On the right-hand side of the list of your current loans alongside the current due dates, click on the Renew link.

Remember to check the Due Date column to find out when your book is now due. If the due date has not changed, then it has not been possible to renew the book. This could be because another person has reserved the book or you have fines exceeding £10. You can contact your Library to find out more information, just give us a call!

*If you do not have a Cardiff University username and password, click on Barcode / PIN at the top right of the screen. You will automatically be re-directed to the Voyager Library Catalogue to sign in and view your library account.

Get the App!
It’s also possible to access your library account on the Cardiff University mobile app, which you can download from your device’s app store or via m.cardiff.ac.uk on your phone or tablet.

Tap the Library icon and then choose My Account, sign in to see your list of items and due dates. From here simply tick the boxes next to the items and then select Request Renewal.

Ask a Librarian

Alternatively, you can use our live online chat service to enquire about items on your account, or anything else! Available weekdays 9am – 5pm.

The My Account (Library borrowings) does not seem to be available on the new Student Portal on the Apps page. Please could this be resolved, or a link put on the above website page. This link was clearly and quickly available so I could check my borrowings and renew books once logged in as a student.
    Thanks in anticipation,
    Karen
