The computational social science blog was created by Arron Cullen, a PhD candidate in Computational Criminology at Cardiff University and the Social Data Science Lab. In short, the blog was set up as a place for articles to be written about the flourishing field of computational social science, which broadly speaking is the implementation of computer science methods to further comprehend complex social phenomena. Furthermore, the blog also hosts free online courses provided by DataCamp for Cardiff University academics and students, affording access to hands-on learning in R and Python programming.
