The Cardiff Award is Cardiff University’s prestigious employability Award that recognises extra-curricular activities and focuses on students’ professional development. The Cardiff Award is endorsed by the University’s Vice-Chancellor and sponsored by local and internationally recognised organisations, including our principal sponsor EY.
For students on the programme The Cardiff Award provides you with the opportunity to gain recognition for the skills obtained through extra-curricular activities. Completing the Award will also help improve your professionalism and employability, increase self-awareness of your skills and enable you to articulate these effectively to future recruiters. By participating in the programme, students also have exclusive opportunities to meet with employers and gain insight into the competitive graduate recruitment market. Overall the Award complements your university experience, shows a commitment to your self-development and better equips you for employment.
For graduate employers The Cardiff Award is recognised for attracting highly ambitious and engaged students. A key factor in the success of the Award to date is the involvement of graduate recruiters and business stakeholders. Their contributions are vital to ensure the relevance and standard of the Award structure in enabling students to compete successfully in the graduate market.
The engagement of graduate recruiters provides students with unique insights and access to this process as well as providing graduate recruiters with exclusive access to some the University’s highest engaged students
