A tryphtich depicting the healing process of an incision. The colours represent colour changes with bruising and the silver and gold leaf are the 38 staples used on the wound, the leaf on the final one is depicting the scar left.

It’s series of paintings depicting the healing process of the incision made to remove the cancer. So the pinks and the blues represent bruising and the scar and the healing and the way that a bruise sort of like changes colours over time. Then the silver stripes represent the staples holding the wound together and then the end one which is a line and dots of silver and gold, that represents the scar left and that’s why that’s lighter because the bruising has gone down and now you can see the scar.  That’s the cryptic.
