Need somewhere to park your wheels?

Some of you reported (myself included) that you find it difficult to find somewhere to park your bike and that more bike racks around the Cochrane Building at UHW are needed.

Over 40 new bike racks are to be installed around the Cochrane Building and are to due to be ready on Friday 2nd March. Any prizes for most pimped bike?

IT Service Desk Change of Contact Details

The IT Service Desk email address is changing. The current address (insrvConnect@cardiff.ac.uk) is being updated to IT-ServiceDesk@cardiff.ac.uk.

The new email address will be live from Monday 4 July.

Following the switch-over, any messages sent to the old address will be automatically forwarded to IT-Servicedesk@cf.ac.uk

The redirect will be in place for the 2016-17 academic year.

Today is #CardiffO2IMG_5374penDay and we’d like to welcome all budding students to the Health Library. There’s plenty going on – tours of the library, stalls providing course info and plenty of current students and staff around ready to answer your questions.

Free-of-charge Microsoft Office software for students

A new initiative from Microsoft to provide the Microsoft Office suite of software free of charge will be launched to current students studying at Cardiff University on Thursday 6th March.

The ‘Student Advantage’ scheme provides current students with free access to the complete Office 2013 suite (including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook and OneNote) on up to five desktop / laptop devices, and additionally on up to five mobile devices.

Current students will be able to download the ‘Student Advantage’ Office suite from their web-based University email account from Thursday 6th March.
