We are delighted to announce that the rescheduled Brian Cooke Memorial Lecture Day will now be held on Friday 11 November 2016 at the Vale Hotel & Spa, Hensol, Cardiff.
This event is held every two years to commemorate the opening of the School of Dentistry, founded in 1964. Many of you will remember the excellent event held in 2014 to mark the Golden Jubilee of the School of Dentistry and now I am delighted to invite you to our next event – the Brian Cooke Memorial Lecture Day to be held on Friday 11 November 2016.
This year, the Brian Cooke lecture itself will be delivered by Professor Jon Cowpe, known to dental care professionals in Wales for his role as Director of Postgraduate Dental Education.
As on previous occasions, a number of dental specialists have also been invited to speak on the day. The topics chosen this year are all extremely relevant to members of the Dental Team, and include Antimicrobial Resistance, Mouth Cancer, Caries in Young Patients and the Phase Down of Amalgam. Appropriate CPD will be awarded when you attend this event.
I hope you can join me and fellow alumni for this special event where we will explore Postgraduate Dental Education.
New date: Friday 11 November, 09.00 – 16.30
New venue: Vale Hotel & Spa
Ticket price: £65 per delegate
The event will be followed by a social reception at the end of the day.
